The brief for the Promethean was to convert a church hall into a live music venue. The design focused on creating an atmosphere. The space had to be both intimate and inviting and needed to perform equally well when filled to capacity, or with a few groups of people looking for a quiet drink and a show. The result is a feeling of understated opulence with details that reveal themselves to you slowly, in layers of interest, with some feature elements that set the venue apart like the textured ceiling.
We designed the overall interior scheme, into the amazing space created by Flightpath Architects. This included all loose and fitted furniture and feature lighting behind the stage as well as the built in bottle display to echo the textures in the main room, and the loose furniture that followed the historical raked floor in the stage area.
